Orientation & Approach

I work with my clients to identify core issues, clarify beliefs, and release limiting patterns.  My goal is to support a deepening capacity for reflection, self-acceptance, and life purpose.  With compassionate listening, I help clients address concerns in the following ways:

Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Loss- gain insight to life patterns, move through pain, develop self-compassion, learn coping skills.

Relationships- build trust, deepen connections, improve communication.

Parenting- strengthen bonds and communication, learn to de-fuse situations.

Creativity/Soul Work- find direction and deeper life meaning working with dreams, art and unconscious communication, a Jungian oriented approach.

Mind/Body/Spirit- achieve greater balance, sense of calm, and well-being with a mindfulness-based therapeutic approach.

Personal Comments

It is a great honor to listen to my clients stories, to develop a relationship of trust, and to collaborate in this sacred process of self-discovery and navigating lifes challenges.    My passion is to help clients listen deeply to the wisdom within to make life changes that enhance relationships, sense of self and meaning of life. I aspire to create a warm and safe office setting where clients feel safe to fully express themselves.  As the therapy unfolds, my intent is to always hold the clients highest potential.

I bring a background of counseling and coaching individuals and families for over 30 years as an educator and therapist.  Serving diverse populations in the Portland community has deeply informed my skills as a psychotherapist.  Walking the healing path with immigrants and refugees from four continents, survivors of sexual abuse and domestic violence, families with special needs children, teen parents, and those seeking a compassionate ear has been a powerful education.

If you are ready to start your personal growth journey, I look forward to hearing from you.
