Orientation & Approach

My approach is eclectic and based on each client’s individual needs. I am compassionate and optimistic, and tend to see us humans as basically good, just trying to do our best under sometimes very difficult or confusing circumstances. In addition to traditional psychodynamic talk therapy I draw from a number of other therapeutic modalities which have proven to be useful for people’s personal growth and healing. Depending on what’s cooking the session can be action oriented, as in Gestalt, Psychodrama or active Dreamwork, or more contemplative such as meditation, mindfulness, and the emerging tools of Interpersonal Neurobiology.
